Sana Sana Mental Health Services was established to make quality, evidence-based therapy more accessible to multilingual and multicultural communities. Sana Sana integrates compassion, culture, and clinical care in order to provide clients with optimal access to mental health support. Treatment is available for a number of mental health concerns among women and youth.
In Spanish-speaking communities, whenever a child gets hurt, it’s common for parents to rub the injury site and recite: “Sana, sana, colita de rana… Si no sana hoy, sanará mañana.” which means, “Heal, heal, little frog tail… If it doesn’t heal today, it will heal tomorrow.”
At Sana Sana, we believe that psychological boo-boos are just as real as physical ones. The good news is, much like physical injuries can heal, mental and emotional injuries can heal as well - if not today, then certainly tomorrow.
Anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders are some of the most commonly diagnosed mental disorders in children, with many of them co-occurring together (ex: depression and anxiety). Depression and anxiety rates have also increased among American youth over the years. You and your child do not have to manage these feelings alone.
